Colon Hydrotherapy is fundamental to any effective detoxification protocol and is an integral part of the detoxification process.
Effective detoxification strategies all begin and end with elimination and there is no safer, faster or better way to obtain immediate results than with Colon Hydrotherapy.
Colonics or Colon Hydrotherapy should be performed at the beginning, periodically throughout and at the end of any effective detox protocol. Colon hydrotherapy, is a safe, effective method of removing waste from the large intestine, without the use of drugs. By introducing filtered and temperature regulated water into the colon, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis. Generally a series of colonics carried out with regularity is necessary to cleanse the colon.
Colon Hydrotherapy Equipment :
We offer both open and closed systems. Both of our systems meet FDA medical class II equipment requirements. The water is filtered and passed through a UV light to assure sanitary water passing into your colon. We use only disposable speculums and rectal tubes each treatment. Phoenix Natural Medicine & Detox Center is a Certified Colon Therapy School where future colon therapist can get I-ACT certified.
The Open System called the LIBBE
The LIBBE device open system is considered to be the “Rolls Royce” of colonic treatment devices, providing more privacy, dignity and efficacy while offering you a more relaxing, safe and more comfortable treatment session. This system allows you or your therapist more control of your treatment. One distinct advantage with the LIBBE device is the pencil-thin rectal tube, which clients find extremely comfortable. One of the key factors is that your privacy is protected at all times, since the specially designed bed allows you to easily insert the lubricated thin rectal tube by yourself. Many people find this reassuring and comforting.
The LIBBE is a comfortable form-fitted table with a basin set into it, on which you rest comfortably. Water flows from a tank gravity system set in the cabinet on the wall along side the table. Temperature controlled water flows through a carbon filter, which removes sediment, rust and chlorine, then goes into the water tank. The water is then pumped up into the water column. The water flow from the gravity-fed column is controlled by a flow control knob, which is operated by either the therapist or recipient. The water is purified before it passes through the small rectal tube by an ultra-violet light filter.
Once the water flow is turned on, there is no need to interrupt the cleanse. Your colon will gently take in as much water as it can tolerate. When you feel the need to evacuate, you simply release. Because of the continuous water inflow and release during your treatment, your body’s own muscles are used to provide a more natural, gentle release. At the same time, the peristalsis (action of the muscles of the colon) is greatly stimulated and this provides an excellent workout for the colon. Because of the nature of the LIBBE device, the therapist does not need to be there with you all the time. This affords you as much privacy as you may desire.
Closed-tube Pressure Colon Hydrotherapy System
With the closed-tube pressure system, the water pressure can be adjusted for each inflow. This means water enters the colon very slowly or potentially less than 1/2 psi (pound per square inch).
The time of one session ranges from 20-60 minutes.
The speculum is the instrument that is inserted into the anus that allows the water to flow in and out. The speculum for the pressure machine is 3/4″ in diameter and 6” long. The speculum is inserted 2-3 inches into the colon. Smaller speculums exist for children and smaller anuses. One larger speculum exists and is slightly larger than the standard.
The water line attaches to a T joint on the top of the speculum. The waste line is joined at the end of the speculum. The water and waste line are separate and approximately 3 feet in length. The other ends of the water and waste line are attached to the equipment. The water line connects to the incoming water line on the equipment and the waste line attaches to an illuminated glass viewing tube.
The waste goes out the speculum into the disposable waste line to the illuminated glass viewing tube that allows observation of what is eliminated. The equipment empties into the sewer system after it passes through the viewing tube.
The water flows in only. When the client has a feeling of fullness in the abdomen or when the therapist judges it appropriate, water and waste material are allowed to exit. The recipient remains on the treatment table throughout the process. The sessions consist of a series of inflows and outflows that are accompanied by abdominal massage.
