Traumeel injections are a safe alternative with no side effects. Results from a treatment normally last several months. Traumeel has been available in Austria and in Europe for decades and is widely used for sports medicine. It is now finally available in the U.S.A.

More commonly used and known treatments for such pain are Corticosteroids (steroids) and NSAIDs such as aspirin (such as Disprin) ibuprofen (such as Nurofen) Naproxen (such as Naprosyn) for example.
